STEM students take a virtual space station tour
Duchesne STEM students now have the opportunity to experience the expanse of space and explore the secrets of the nanoworld, all without leaving the classroom.
The Oculus Meta Quest 2 is a VR headset purchased in part by a 2023 STEM grant, and will be a new staple of STEM and anatomy courses at Duchesne.
The headset fully immerses students in a 3D virtual world where they can carry out experiments on the International Space Station, study DNA and other molecules, and even complete activities such as building robotic hands.
