Parents
Often a high school focuses on the opportunities for students. Perhaps that's justified. But, the four years of a DHS student's high school career provide wonderful opportunities for Pioneer parents, too.
- Opportunities to stay involved in the life of your adolescent (even as he/she is growing more independent).
- Opportunities to meet other DHS families, and to work together to help the school and its students.
- Opportunities to be part of a very special community: the Duchesne family.
A few years back, sociologists wanted to know why Catholic school students showed higher academic achievement with a lower cost per student than other schools. They determined that the key element was parental involvement. Our students benefit when parents are involved! (But you already knew that, didn't you?)
So, take a look at the opportunities we offer our Pioneer parents. Get involved and have fun at DHS! We'll try to keep you informed, but if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Contact the Office of Advancement, (636) 946-2603, and we'll point you in the right direction. Looking for a good place to start?
