Teens across Missouri competed at the 19th Miss Missouri’s Teen competition in early June. Every delegate received scholarships for college as part of their participation in the scholarship organization.

The new Miss Missouri’s Teen is Bridget Caldwell of Florissant. She is the daughter of Scott and Tara Caldwell of Florissant. Bridget is a student at Duchesne High School in St. Charles. Not only did she earn the title, but Bridget also received numerous awards in the competition. They included a $7000 scholarship for winning the competition; the “Dancing Queen” award, sponsored by Kensie Saunders for $150; the sash group overall evening wear award for $250; the teen overall evening wear award, sponsored by Sydnee Stottlemyre-Burke, $200; the teen sash group overall interview award, $250; and the teen overall interview award, sponsored by Charlee Bisch-Bradley, $200. In total, she received $8,050 in scholarships.

Since being crowned, Bridget has been working to establish events for her social impact initiative, “Bridge the Gap between Youth and Heroes.” She has also begun preparations for the national competition later in the year.

The Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization and the Miss Missouri’s Teen Scholarship Program are the top providers of scholarships for females in the state of Missouri. This year, the teen program awarded more than $32,000 in scholarships.
